Could you recommend any software or literature that can help with the design of anaerobic digestion reactors?

La digestion anaérobie n'existe pas. Pour créer un état sans oxygène dans un environnement Oxygèné, aérobie, il faudrait au bas mot plus de 3 milliard d'années. Ce n'est pas dans un flux en transit aéré qu'on peut créer un tel état et encore moins une fonctionnalité de dégradation de la matière organique transformée en boue.
Hello anaerobic digestion does not exist. To create a state without oxygen in a Oxygèné, aerobic environment, it would take at the bottom word more than 3 billion years. It is not in a flow in aerated transit that one can create such a state and even less a feature of degradation of the organic matter transformed into mud.

There is a lot of books that can help you. To design such system it is necessary experience and I would recommend you to look for someone that has already designed it. Books and softwares are excellent tools but to design a system you need also experience. Regards

Dear Christian, if you like the pragmatic (less sientific) approach you might apply the simple DWA methodology (approved by thousands of digesters in Central EU). If more sientific you may use the IWA Anaerobic Digestion Model.
